Japanese House Walkthrough
Bath Room

The orange-circled thing on the
left is a control panel for bath room.
This is a new technology now used
for bath. It heats the bathroom which is otherwise unheated and removes humidity to
protect the bathroom from getting mold. This ios very convenient as we can use this system
during the rainy season (June/July) to help the laundry dry. Usually laundry is hung
outside. About 1/5 of all homes has this. It is a luxuary and new technology. It costs
about 200,000 yen to install this system.

The orange-circled thing on the
right is a control panel for the bath itself. This panel controls the temperature and the
jet bubble in the tub. If you push the button, you can take a bath later. Nowadays, we can
also use a jet bath: Some people can feel relaxed, but the noise is bad.
